Accessibility
Building a site that works well for everyone, including people using assistive technology.
Last revised: June 2026
Hume Health Corp wants hume-band.uk and the Hume Health app to work smoothly for every visitor, including those relying on assistive technology. This page describes where things currently stand and how to report anything that isn't working as it should.
Our Benchmark
We work toward meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across hume-band.uk. In practice, that covers areas such as:
- Meaningful alt text on images that convey information, rather than purely decorative ones.
- Text-to-background contrast that stays legible throughout the site.
- Complete keyboard access to menus, mobile navigation, and interactive elements like the FAQ accordion.
- Semantic markup and ARIA labelling, so screen readers announce headings, buttons and page regions correctly.
- Layouts that remain usable when text is enlarged or the page is zoomed.
A Continuous Effort
We don't treat this as something to finish once — the site keeps changing, and our accessibility work has to keep up with it. If you hit a barrier anywhere on hume-band.uk or within the app, we'd genuinely welcome hearing about it.
Reporting an Issue
If assistive technology runs into trouble somewhere on the site, let us know. It's helpful if you can share:
- The page or app screen where the problem occurred
- A brief description of what went wrong
- Which assistive technology, browser or device you were using
We review accessibility reports quickly, and anything blocking someone from browsing, learning about, or buying the product gets priority.
Where Our Reach Ends
Certain parts of hume-band.uk, checkout in particular, rely on third-party services. We pick vendors who take accessibility seriously, but we can't fully control how they've built their own components. If you run into a problem in one of these areas, tell us regardless — we'll push the vendor or look for another way to help you through.
