Refund & Returns
45 days to try it out, free return postage, and a warranty that actually means something.
Last revised: June 2026
Buying a health gadget without trying it in person first always involves a bit of trust. This page spells out exactly what happens if the Hume Band 2.0 doesn't work out for you.
A 45-Day Trial Window
You have 45 days from the date of delivery to send it back for a complete refund, for any reason, no explanation necessary. That's well past the 14-day statutory cooling-off period set out in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 — we felt that wasn't quite enough time to properly get a feel for a wearable, so we extended it substantially.
The tracker doesn't need to be unworn or in original packaging; we stand behind it even after ordinary use.
How to Start a Return
- Contact support through the Hume Health app or the email address on your order confirmation, and let us know you'd like to send your order back.
- A prepaid returns label arrives in your inbox within 1 business day.
- Pack the tracker, strap and charging cable together — the original box isn't needed.
- Hand the parcel to any Royal Mail or courier drop-off point using the supplied label.
- Once we've received and inspected it, your refund goes back to your original payment method, typically within 5–7 business days.
What Gets Refunded
The full amount you paid, VAT included. If you added the 10-Year Warranty at checkout and you're returning the tracker itself, that add-on is refunded too, since it has no purpose on its own without a device to cover.
Who Pays for Return Shipping
We do. The prepaid returns label costs nothing for any return within the 45-day window on orders placed directly through hume-band.uk.
Good to Know
- This guarantee covers orders placed directly with us. Bought from a third-party marketplace instead? Start with their return process, since we can't guarantee identical terms apply there.
- Refunds return to whichever payment method was used at checkout — we can't redirect a refund somewhere else.
- Outside the 45-day window, a faulty unit may still be covered under warranty — see below — and this is separate from your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Making a Warranty Claim
Every Hume Band 2.0 includes a 1-year hardware warranty covering genuine manufacturing defects — sensor faults or charging problems under normal use, for example. If you added the optional 10-Year Warranty, cover runs for the full decade from your original purchase date.
To file a claim, contact support with your order number and a brief description of the fault. Most hardware issues are resolved by sending a replacement unit at no charge.
Want to Swap Instead of Return?
If you simply need a different strap size, mention it when you contact us — we can often sort a direct swap rather than a full return-and-reorder.
